Drake & PartyNextDoor Drop 19 New Music Videos for “Somebody Loves Me” – A Global Creative Showcase
In a bold, boundary-breaking move, Drake and PartyNextDoor have released 19 uniquely crafted music videos for their hit single “Somebody Loves Me.” Each video, created by a different filmmaker, offers a fresh and imaginative take—turning a single release into a cinematic collage of creative expression.

A Contest That Changed the Music Video Game
Sparking from a challenge by streamer Kai Cenat, Drake and PND launched a competition this past May, inviting aspiring and emerging creators to submit short treatments or previews. After sifting through thousands of entries, they selected 19 finalists—each awarded $15,000 USD to bring their visual narratives to life. The result was a global rollout of stunning, evocative, and wildly diverse music videos that went live on August 27, 2025, exclusively on the Drake Related website.(Billboard Canada)

Highlighting the Creators & Their Visions
Here’s a curated look at some standout contributors—now featuring a fresh addition to the roster:
- Jabari Daniel
Director: Jabari Daniel crafts a hypnotic looping hotel-hallway tale: a man opens three doors—betrayal, distraction, loneliness—reliving the emotional void of seeking love in an illusory world.(Vibe 105) - Dito Andres
A heartfelt animation featuring Drake and PND’s mothers as celestial guardian angels, watching over their sons with tender devotion.(Billboard Canada) - Jordan Sook
A surreal, puppet-fueled fantasy where Drake and PND ride on a yacht and even “Air Drake,” surrounded by a whimsical parade of characters.(Billboard Canada) - Kristen Lambie
A nostalgic and emotional journey follows a 70-year-old Black man revisiting places where love once bloomed—each memory unfolding like a dance between past and present.(Billboard Canada) - Edgar Daniel
A meta and playful twist: the video itself is a casting call—inviting fans to audition for a chance to appear, blurring the line between storyteller and audience.(Billboard Canada) - And many more… From miniature dioramas midair aboard Drake’s plane to atmospheric nighttime cityscapes and psych-thriller one-takes in Tokyo—each director spun their part of the story with striking originality.(Vibe 105)

- Empowering Voices Everywhere: Giving $15,000 USD and full creative freedom to up-and-coming creators democratizes the music video space.
- Celebrating Creative Diversity: With 19 unique visions, the project embodies a mosaic of cultural, visual, and emotional storytelling.
- Harnessing Influencer Momentum: The concept sparked from Kai Cenat’s pitch, showcasing how digital influence can shape and accelerate artistic collaboration.
Behind the Scenes: A Peek into the Creative Process

Imagine a visual gallery of behind-the-scenes moments:
- Storyboard Sessions: Quick-range shots of creators sketching scenes on digital tablets over morning lattes.
- On-Set Energy: Lights rigged in banquet halls or hotel corridors, directors peering through viewfinders, props lit with intent.
- Animated Workflows: Framed shots of drawn guardian angels dancing across storyboard pages.
- Collaborative Moments: Directors chatting with camera operators, chuckling during playback, adjusting shot framing under Toronto’s moody sky.
These candid moments humanize the art—they’re visions becoming reality, one take at a time.

Special words from @jabaridaniel PSA:
This is actually a TWO $$$IDED RECORD VIDEO. Side A (forward) and Side B (reversed). I directed this music video for @champagnepapi and @partynextdoor to loop, and tell the story in both directions, in just 1 minute.
THANK YOU to @drakerelated & @ovosound for the opportunity 🤞🏾✨
