SUMMARY:Candlelight: Tribute to Drake
DESCRIPTION:Drake’s music will be heard through a new instrumental lens in this candlelit live performance in Toronto. Built around orchestrated interpretations for string quartet\, the evening shifts familiar contemporary songwriting into a chamber-music setting\, with melody\, texture and live musicianship at the centre of the experience. \nA string-quartet perspective on Drake’s music\nRather than a conventional Drake performance\, this tribute presents his songs in arrangements created for bowed strings. The format offers a different way to engage with the music\, bringing the expressive range of a string quartet to material associated with one of Toronto’s best-known artists. \nListeners can expect a live instrumental presentation focused on reimagined versions of Drake’s catalogue. For fans interested in hearing popular music outside its original production style\, the concert provides a fresh context for the songwriting while keeping the emphasis on the arrangements and performance. \nA candlelit setting for live music\nThe candlelit presentation is an essential part of the atmosphere\, pairing live strings with a focused concert environment at Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto. This combination of chamber-style performance and candlelit surroundings creates a more intimate alternative to a typical large-scale concert setting. \nThe evening may suit Drake listeners\, instrumental-music fans and concertgoers who enjoy contemporary songs interpreted in unexpected formats. It also offers a shared live-music outing for friends or family\, centred on Toronto-connected music and a performance style that highlights the sound of the quartet. \nWhat the performance includes\n\nA live tribute centred on the music of Drake\nOrchestrated song arrangements performed by a string quartet\nA candlelit concert presentation in Toronto\nAn intimate chamber-style approach to contemporary music\n\nBy bringing together contemporary songwriting\, string-quartet arrangements and a candlelit atmosphere\, this performance offers a distinct way to experience Drake’s music live. SUMMARY:Candlelight: Tribute to Taylor Swift
DESCRIPTION:Taylor Swift’s music takes on a different character in this Toronto tribute concert\, where a string quartet performs her songs by candlelight. Set inside Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto\, the event offers a focused live-music experience built around the sound of strings and the atmosphere of a softly lit performance space. \nFor fans of Taylor Swift’s songwriting and listeners who enjoy intimate concert settings\, this gathering provides an opportunity to hear familiar music presented in a classical ensemble format. SUMMARY:MOODY OFFICE: Caribbean Jazz Lounge
DESCRIPTION:Caribbean favourites take on a fresh live sound at this weekly Toronto music night\, where familiar dancehall\, afrobeats\, soca\, reggae and konpa selections are interpreted through live instrumentation. The result is a lounge-oriented listening experience built around songs audiences already know\, approached from a different musical angle. \nA live take on Caribbean sounds\nThe evening centres on the meeting point between Caribbean music and a jazz-lounge atmosphere. Live musicians reshape well-known tracks with their own arrangements\, creating space for melodies\, rhythm and instrumental colour. A saxophone-led interpretation is part of the event’s stated vision\, giving songs a new texture while keeping their roots recognizable. \nRather than presenting one genre in isolation\, the program draws from several connected sounds: dancehall’s energy\, afrobeats’ rhythmic pull\, soca’s lift\, reggae’s groove and konpa’s flowing feel. It is designed for guests who want to settle in\, listen closely and enjoy Caribbean music in a live-band setting. \nA relaxed Sunday-night setting\nHeld at Ace of Spades Lounge and Events on Manning Avenue\, the night is framed as a moody\, intimate lounge experience. Leather couches\, dim amber lighting and cocktails help set the tone for an evening that favours atmosphere as much as performance. Whether you arrive with friends or are looking for a more low-key way to hear live music in Toronto\, the format offers an alternative to a conventional concert night. \nThe event runs on Sundays\, with this edition scheduled for an 8 p.m. start. It is an in-person event for guests aged 19 and over. \nSong requests are part of the concept\nListeners can submit songs they would like to hear interpreted live. Musicians select a few requests each week and rework them in their own style during the evening\, adding an element of discovery to the performance. That approach makes room for the audience’s musical memories while leaving the arrangements in the hands of the players. \nFor Toronto listeners drawn to Caribbean sounds\, live instrumentation and a late-evening lounge mood\, this is a chance to hear favourite songs recast with a different feel.

SUMMARY:Candlelight: Coldplay vs. Imagine Dragons
DESCRIPTION:A candlelit evening in Oakville brings together the music of Coldplay and Imagine Dragons in a tribute concert performed by a string quartet. Set inside Knox Presbyterian Church\, the experience pairs familiar songs with the warm glow of candlelight and the church’s architectural character and acoustics. \nFor audiences travelling from across the GTA\, this offers a chance to hear two modern rock catalogues interpreted through strings rather than a full band setup. The atmosphere is designed around listening\, candlelight and the setting\, making the performance a distinctive way to revisit songs that have become part of contemporary pop-rock. \n \nMusic from Coldplay and Imagine Dragons\nThe listed program includes Coldplay favourites such as “Clocks\,” “Adventure of a Lifetime\,” “Fix You\,” “The Scientist\,” “A Sky Full of Stars” and “Viva la Vida.” Imagine Dragons selections include “Radioactive\,” “Eyes Closed\,” “Thunder\,” “Follow You\,” “Bad Liar” and “Believer.” The program is tentative\, so the final musical selection may vary. \nPerformed by the Listeso string quartet in Oakville\, the concert presents these songs as a live instrumental tribute. It is not affiliated with\, endorsed by or sponsored by Coldplay\, Imagine Dragons\, their estates or official representatives. \nA candlelit setting in Oakville\nKnox Presbyterian Church provides a serene setting for the performance\, with beautiful architecture and acoustics that suit an intimate concert environment. The venue is accessible for people with reduced mobility. \nWhat to know before attending\nThe experience is recommended for guests aged 8 and older. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult\, and disruptive behaviour may result in being asked to step outside so the atmosphere can be preserved for other guests. \nSeating is assigned on a first-come\, first-served basis within each zone. With its combination of string arrangements\, candlelight and a historic Oakville church setting\, the event may appeal to Coldplay and Imagine Dragons fans looking for a more intimate interpretation of the artists’ music.
