James Harden Scores Big with Thai Feast at Toronto’s Pai Restaurant
James Harden might be known for his dominance on the basketball court, but he’s also proving to have an elite taste for Toronto’s restaurant scene. The L.A. Clippers point guard, alongside teammate Bones Hyland, made a pre-game stop at Pai (@paitoronto), a staple in the city’s Entertainment District known for serving some of the best Northern Thai cuisine in town.
While Sunday night’s Clippers-Raptors matchup at Scotiabank Arena didn’t go in his favor—ending in a 115-108 loss with a side of boos from Raptors fans during the Star-Spangled Banner—Harden still walked away a winner when it came to his choice of dining.
A Star at the Table
James Harden, widely considered one of the greatest players of his era, isn’t new to the Pai experience. The All-Star guard first visited the restaurant back in 2019 when he was a member of the Houston Rockets. Clearly, the flavors left an impression, as he returned once again for a meal before his latest game in Toronto.
Restaurant co-owner Jeff Regular expressed his excitement about hosting the NBA superstar. “He was incredibly warm and kind to our team,” Regular said. “Obviously, being a huge basketball fan, I’m always super excited when he visits PAI, but it is always amazing and we are so grateful when anybody appreciates our food and the experience we bring.”

What Was on James Harden’s Plate while he was in Toronto?
So what did the former MVP dig into this time? According to Pai’s team, Harden is a big fan of their Thai Chicken Wings and Khao Soi—a signature Northern Thai dish featuring rich coconut curry broth, egg noodles, and slow-braised meat.
Pai itself is something of an All-Star in its own right, regularly drawing in big names from sports, entertainment, and beyond. Under the expertise of renowned Toronto chef Nuit Regular, the restaurant has solidified its place as a must-visit destination for anyone craving top-tier Thai food.

Pai – A Go-To Spot for Big Names
Pai’s reputation as a celebrity hot spot isn’t surprising. The restaurant’s bold flavors, warm hospitality, and buzzing atmosphere have made it a favorite among food lovers from all walks of life. Whether you’re an NBA superstar or just someone looking for a top-tier meal, Pai consistently delivers.
For those wanting to dine like Harden, Pai Toronto is located at 18 Duncan Street in Toronto’s Entertainment District. But be warned—securing a table at this Thai gem can be just as competitive as a game on the court.
