Painting workshop for Adults

Explore colour, movement and texture at this guided abstract acrylic painting workshop for adults in Toronto. Designed for complete beginners and experienced painters alike, the relaxed two-hour class focuses on creative expression rather than getting every detail “right.”

With step-by-step instruction from Nargis Khan, participants will work through colour mixing, palette building, layering, blending and expressive brush and palette-knife techniques. The session also covers how to compose a balanced abstract piece from start to finish.

All materials are included, including a canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, palette knives and aprons. Each participant will leave with an original finished painting to take home. The workshop is suitable for ages 12 and up and takes place at Nargis Khan Art Studio on Overbrook Place.

Nargis Khan is a professional visual artist and painting instructor with more than 20 years of experience. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and community venues across Toronto, and she has taught more than 200 adult students.
