Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)

The Art Gallery of Ontario, commonly known as the AGO, is a major art museum on Dundas Street West beside Grange Park. Its galleries span Canadian and Indigenous art, European works, contemporary exhibitions, photography, sculpture and rotating special shows.

The building itself is part of the experience, with dramatic interior spaces shaped by architect Frank Gehry. Its downtown location also makes the AGO easy to combine with Chinatown, Kensington Market, Queen West and other central Toronto attractions.

The combination of a major collection, rotating exhibitions and the Frank Gehry-designed building gives the AGO more depth than a typical single-focus museum. The Henry Moore Sculpture Centre and Canadian and Indigenous collections are particular highlights.
