DEH’YA SOUND turned Sankofa Square into a late-night festival stage during Day 2 of Sankofa Fest on August 27.

A rain-or-shine performance at Sankofa Square
The event was described as “rain or shine,” and the audience stayed engaged as the performance unfolded outdoors. The supplied images show people gathered near the stage, watching and dancing as DEH’YA SOUND performed.
A fire performer added another visual element to the programme. Together with the live vocals, DJs and supporting performers, the appearance gave Sankofa Fest’s second day a distinctly late-night shape.
One sound, one DEH’YA
DEH’YA SOUND’s branding appeared throughout the event, including the line “1 SOUND. 1 DEH’YA.” The phrase captured the focus of the Sankofa Square performance: one featured sound, sustained across a four-hour festival slot.
With the crowd gathered from the 9 p.m. start through the 1 a.m. finish, the night brought music, movement and live performance together at Sankofa Fest.
